Camps, Programs & Retreats
Since 1994, Torino Ranch has opened its gates each summer to provide joy, healing, and respite for those who need it most. What began as a sanctuary for children with critical and chronic illnesses has blossomed into a diverse collection of programs serving children, teens, adults, and families alike. Torino Ranch is a place of wonder. It’s a safe haven where the weight of illness, loss, or trauma gives way to laughter, connection, and renewal. The ranch nourishes the spirit of every guest who comes through its gates—and in return, it is filled with their love, joy, and gratitude. All programs are offered at no charge to families thanks to the generosity of the Brett Torino Foundation, the dedicated staff of the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF), Sunshine Nevada Organization (SNO), The Caring Place, Behind the Blue, and the many sponsors and volunteers whose time and hearts make these experiences possible.
Children & Youth Camps
Camp Cartwheel
Founded in 1996 by the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Camp Cartwheel is a medically supervised summer camp serving children (ages 5–17) with cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, renal, blood, and immunologic diseases, as well as their siblings and children whose parents are battling cancer.
- Campers ages 5–9 attend day sessions and return home each evening.
- Campers ages 10–17 enjoy a three-night stay at Torino Ranch.
Supported by over 165 volunteers, Camp Cartwheel helps children overcome the obstacles of illness, restoring hope for the future while creating friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Camp Sunshine
For over 20 years, Camp Sunshine has provided children and young adults (ages 6–17) living with autism a place to belong. Through Sunshine Nevada Organization, thousands of campers have experienced the joy of singing, dancing, laughing, and simply being themselves. Camp helps break down barriers of isolation, giving participants the social connections, confidence, and sense of inclusion they often miss in daily life.

SEEK Teen Retreat
Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation – SEEK Teen Retreat at Torino Ranch, is a therapeutic experience designed for teens aged 13 to 17. This event welcomes up to 40 participants, including both cancer patients and their siblings.
Led by a licensed professional social worker from NVCCF, the retreat focuses on self-reflection, personal growth, team building, and boosting self-esteem. Through a variety of activities, teens can connect with others and develop coping skills for the challenges they face due to cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Since its inception in 2013, the SEEK Teen Retreat has provided a supportive environment for young people to thrive.

Adult & Family Retreats
Breast Cancer Survivor’s Retreat
In partnership with The Caring Place – Nevada, this retreat offers women a dedicated day of relaxation, renewal, and friendship at Torino Ranch. Words like gratitude, hope, love, and blessed capture the powerful spirit of the weekend as women find strength in community and leave with renewed courage for the road ahead.

Wellness Bureau Retreat
Created by Behind the Blue and hosted at Torino Ranch, this retreat supports Southern Nevada’s law enforcement officers (METRO) and their families. Designed to provide relief from the trauma and stress inherent to their work, the retreat offers a restorative day of nature, games, and connection.
“The Brett Torino Foundation and Torino Ranch consider it an honor to host The Wellness Bureau Retreat, a special initiative created by Behind the Blue,” said Brett Torino. “We hold these officers in the highest regard with tremendous admiration, recognizing that they risk their lives every day to protect us and our communities.”
A Sanctuary for All
From critically ill children to teens coping with loss, from women healing from breast cancer to officers seeking renewal, Torino Ranch continues to grow as a sanctuary of respite. Each program is unique, but all share the same mission: to provide a space where people can lay down their burdens, discover connection, and find joy in the simple gifts of nature and community.
Our second and final Shop with a Cop event at @walmart was the perfect way to close out this year’s program. 💙

We were honored to sponsor our first Shop With a Cop event of 2025 at @macys, one of the most meaningful programs we support each year. This two-part event serves hundreds of deserving children from some of the more vulnerable communities in Las Vegas, offering them a joyful holiday shopping experience and a chance to choose gifts they can truly call their own.
More importantly, Shop with a Cop helps children see police officers in a new light — as dedicated protectors, mentors, and compassionate members of their community. These shared moments help bridge perceptions and build trust, showing kids that officers are here for them, their families, and their future.

Surrounded by the healing beauty of nature, participants spent the day relaxing, laughing, and reconnecting through shared experiences and meaningful moments of reflection.

We’re proud to share, Brett Torino Foundation in partnership with Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NVCCF), has taken its Education Services program bedside to children receiving treatment at the Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital.
When a child is fighting cancer or another life-threatening illness, they often fall behind in school. This program provides vital continuity — offering tutoring, learning support, and advocacy so that no child falls behind while they heal. This expansion reflects the power of community partnerships and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to keep learning — no matter the challenges they face.
“Providing continuity in education… is not only essential for their academic success, but also for their emotional well-being,” said Brett Torino.
